Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Review of minutes for 23 May 2006:

- Approved.

Announcements - EIA Call for Patent Disclosure:

- No company declared a patent.

AR Review:

  - Done

- Mike review IQ 5.4
  - not done

Opens for new items:

Discussion of Roy Leventhal's Viewing The Checklist.doc file:

- Page 2: Roy's IQ level proposal
I	Quality unverified. Level designation primarily for data base
	storage.
II (0)	Passes IBIS Golden Parser and other checks, except
	incomplete pin list allowed.
III (1)	Passes IBIS Golden Parser with complete pin list and
	other additional checks to II.
IV_a (2a)	Adds SPICE correlation to III
IV_b (2b)	Adds measurement correlation to III
V	Adds both SPICE and measurement correlation to III

- Page 3: Table 1
  IQ Level I
    No checks performed, unverified model
  IQ Level II (0)
File validated with IBIS Golden Parser for syntax except incomplete
      pin list allowed
Header section validated against sections 2.0 to 2.9 inclusive
    Vinl/Vinh defined on receivers
Std. Load Vmeas defined on drivers
Overshoots defined on drivers & receivers
  IQ Level III (1)
    All pins defined & validated
All package parasitics validated (Typ required)
    Model selectors validated
    [Diff Pins] validated
    Ccomp validated
Model spec waveforms defined & validated
Standard load parameters defined & validated
    Ramp data validated
V-T tables defined for all output drivers
Ramp data validated against appropriate V-T data
    All I-V & V-T data inspected
Typ/Min/Max present in correct order for all data
All outputs simulated & switch through Vmeas
    All receiver models simulated
  IQ Level IV_a (2a)
    SPICE correlation
  IQ Level IV_b (2b)
    Measurement correlation
  IQ Level V (2a + 2b)
    SPICE and measurement correlation

- Page 4-8: Table 2
  - Can we eliminate the optional category?
    - 2.9 [Disclaimer] and [Copyright] stricken last week.
    - 3.2.4 [Pin] RLC could become level III requirement
      - Signal vs. pwr/gnd
      - Bare die models won't have pin RLC, but requirement can be waived.
  - "Required" category really refers to items that are IBIS spec. optional
    but IQ spec. requires.
  - "Test" category refers to chacks that must be performed on items if
    they are present.

- Page 10: Table 3
  - May not add much value.
  - GP means "Golden Parser"
  - Rows do not line up across columns
  - Could be moved to page 1 to illustrate IQ level proposal.
  - Notion that we have to be at highest [IBIS ver] could be a problem
    - Shoot for 3.2 to maximize model usefuleness
    - IBIS Visual Editor for 4.0 available yet?
  - Letters "Y" could be replaced by lists of actual IQ check numbers.

- IQ spec could be merged into Roy's document
  - Make it other than simple text, probably MSWord.
  - IQ checklist spreadsheet could also be included

AR: Roy merge the IQ spec into his document

Next meeting:

- Discuss proposed Roman numeral IQ level system
- Continue review of IQ checks starting at 5.4 next meeting
- 3 weeks away to allow Roy time for his AR

(NOTE: We had some trouble with MeetingPlace application sharing, which
might be caused by Mike's poor wireless connectivity at home.
Mike will connect from within Cisco next time.)
